Chess
coaches’ seminar is designed for K-12 chess coaches and chess program
supervisors.
Mike Zacate will represent IESA and IHSA to answer questions related to
organizing school chess club activities and preparation to the state
championships (both high school and elementary/middle school).
Dr. Mikhail Korenman will introduce a newly designed on-line system of
professional training and support for the coaches and supervisors.
Dr.
Mikhail Korenman, a professional educator with more than 25 years experience in
secondary and post-secondary teaching and research. US
Chess Federation certified chess coach and tournament director.
International Chess Organizer by the World Chess Federation FIDE.
Organizer of the Pan American Championship, US Junior Championship,
Intercontinental Scholastic Championship and many local scholastic chess events.
2004 Chess Organizer of the Year by the
US
Chess Federation and 2006 Special Service Award by the USCF.
