Nancy A. Flores Director of Recreation Orland Park, IL U.S.A.
Dear Mrs. Flores,
Thank you very much for your letter. I am very excited to open the Karpov International Chess Institute in Orland Park, one of the largest suburban cities in Chicago land.
During the last twenty five years I am proudly opened many chess schools around the World. Millions of kids of all ages are learning not only how to play chess but also how to apply knowledge and experience in their everyday life. Many of students graduated from my chess schools then became international masters and grandmasters. I hope that once some of the Orland Park students will join the elite of chess players.
I would like especially mention the program for chess coaches that Karpov International Chess Institute will be offering. There is no institution in the United States that offering a program of complete training for chess coaches. We are planning to start with training to area elementary, middle, and high school coaches offering them professional support. Our plans in a nearest future to develop certified and accredited program of study for chess coaches. It will be great if our program will take a lead on this development.
I will definitely plan to visit Orland Park at my next visit to the United States and meet with Karpov International Chess Institute students and staff.
Please fell free to contact me if you will have any further questions regarding the Institute’ activities.
Sincerely,
Anatoly E. Karpov World Chess Champion
